SRA Series for Small-to-Medium Sized Businesses
(SRA 1600, 4600, & Virtual Appliance)

Let your workforce be productive from anywhere
Simple, affordable mobility and remote access options for SMB. Let authorized users access resources from anywhere to increase productivity. Block untrusted users, devices and apps and prevent mobile malware attacks.

SonicWall SRA Series solutions allow mobile and remote users to easily access corporate resources without requiring network administrators to compromise security. Administrators can create policies that provide context-aware authentication, granting access only to trusted devices and authorized users. Mobile devices are interrogated for essential security information such as jailbreak or root status, device ID, certificate status and OS versions prior to granting access. Laptops and PCs are also interrogated for the presence or absence of security software, client certificates, and device ID. Devices that do not meet policy requirements are not allowed network access and the user is notified of non-compliance.

Features and Benefits

PCI Compliance: The optional Web Application Firewall (WAF) Service protects web applications against web-based vulnerabilities such as cross-site scripting, injection attacks, cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and cookie tampering. Data Leak Protection (DLP also prevents the theft of user sensitive data such as Social Security Numbers, and credit cards. By preventing common protocol and web-based attacks, WAF can significantly help financial, healthcare, e-commerce, e-billing and other related businesses attain OWASP Top 10 and PCI compliance.

Mobile Connect: Mobile Connect™, available as a mobile app for Apple® iOS , Mac OSX, Kindle Fire and Google® Android™ mobile devices and embedded with Windows 8.1 devices, provides users with simple, policy-enforced access to corporate and academic resources over encrypted SSL VPN connections.

EndPoint Control: Mobile devices are interrogated for essential security information such as jailbreak or root status, device ID, certificate status and OS versions prior to granting access. Laptops and PCs are also interrogated for the presence, or absence of, security software, client certificates and device ID. Devices that do not meet policy requirements are not allowed network access and the user is notified of non-compliance.

Granular Access Controls: Through granular policy configuration controls, network administrators can easily create policies that lock down users to specific resources and applications to prevent unauthorized access from both trusted and un-trusted users and devices.

One Time Passwords: A unique one-time password can be generated for every login and combined with the user name and standard network password for enhanced log on protection.

Customized Web Portal: Each remote user launches a personalized web portal for easy access to email, files, applications, internal websites and other authorized resources.

Easy-to-Use Web Management Interface: The easy-to-use web-based GUI makes configuration, monitoring and updating the SRA appliance and user policies easy and straightforward.

Seamless Integration: Because the SRA appliance operates separate from the firewall function, the SonicWall SRA Series is compatible with virtually any firewall on the market, making it easy to leverage existing investments.

Clientless Connectivity: Because there is no pre-installation or pre-configuration required, authorized remote workers can sit down at any computer with internet access to securely plug into your network.

Enhanced Layered Security: When an SRA appliance is deployed with a SonicWall firewall, administrators get the critical dual protection needed to secure both VPN access and VPN traffic.

Centralized Management & Reporting: The SonicWall Global Management System and SonicWall Analyzer provide a comprehensive architecture for centrally creating and managing remote access policies so organizations can achieve real-time monitoring, log and analyze remote access activity by user and deliver intuitive reports.

NetExtender Technology: With a thin client pushed transparently onto the client’s desktop, laptop or smartphone, users enjoy seamless and secure network layer access to intranet, file, desktop and terminal resources, including Microsoft® Outlook® and Microsoft SharePoint®.

Load Balancing: Administrators can use the SonicWall SRA load balancing feature set to partition HTTP/HTTPS-based requests across multiple web, email or other server-based applications, or to provide load balancing for other SRA appliances.

Remote Support and Access: As a cost-effective alternate to traditional remote computer support and remote computer access tools, administrators can configure and license SonicWall Secure Virtual Assist and Secure Virtual Access. Secure Virtual Assist pushes browser-based “thin” clients to technicians and customers to establish an interactive support session. Technicians can then remotely work with end users running Windows®, Mac® or Linux® operating systems. Secure Virtual Access can increase productivity by enabling administrators or authorized end users to gain secure remote access to their unattended Windows computers from almost anywhere.

Redundancy & Reliability: To optimize performance and redundancy for server-based applications, network administrators can take advantage of load balancing features built into the SRA appliances. For increased reliability, High Availability allows administrators to deploy a second SRA 4600 as a backup to the primary to enhance uptime and reliability for all remote access users.
